Burnout
I have always been interested in pushing the limits of clay and my imagination. For these creatures, I covered dry rotted root armatures with casting slip, gauze, and glaze and fired out the wood core. The resulting waist high pieces stood eggshell thin and quivered ash out as one walked by. The Burnouts received the Alfred University Jr. Show Award.
