Armour?
Armour? encourages the viewer to eat yogurt covered almonds filling the mouth cavity of this archaic skull. This investigation is uneasy as the large spiraling horns tower over you or graze uncomfortably close to your stomach as you reach in between the molars. Armour Too? is a smaller souvenir wall mounted trophy size version (H: 35″ x W: 25″ x D: 24″) for home use.
The following images depict my simultaneous overlay planning process for the sculpture, custom leather mount and mdf display table or plaque. My slab hand building process starts with maquettes and paper pattern templates which are transferred to plastic.
